Easy access, but totally isolated.( See below for 2 maps of area)
From Bangor using
Route 9:
Take 95 North to Bangor exit 182 (Route 395) Take 395 East
to Route 9 East to Calais. ( Approximately 90 miles)
In Calais Route 9 comes to an end
at the insection of Route 1. Take Route 1 South. After about 18 miles you will see
Route 190. Stay on Route 1 South Approximately 3 miles past the Route 190 intersection
Burby Road forks to the left. ( If you see the Knowlton Farm on the left you have just passed
Burby Road). Follow Burby Road to the end (about 1 mile), and continue
following the roadway into the subdivision. The lots and House are clearly
marked with signs.
From Route 1 traveling North:
Take Route 1
North through Machias, East Machias, Whiting and Dennysville. Route 214 intersects on the left
with Route 1 in Pembroke .Stay on Route 1 North. Approximately 4 miles after the Route 214 intersection after you
enter Perry you will see the Knowlton Farm on the right. Burby Road is a sharp right angle 1/10th of
a mile after the Knowlton Farm. (If you come to Route 190 you have gone 3 miles too far.) Follow Burby Road
to the end(about 1 mile), and continue following the roadway into the subdivision. The lots and House are clearly
marked with signs.
